Concern Worldwide, an Irish non-governmental organisation, is looking for an individual for the following  position

 

HIV Programme Officer – Based in Harare with extensive travel to the Fields

 

The incumbent will support the HIV&AIDS Programme Manager in developing and managing the HIV&AIDS programme, ensuring that activities are implemented as per programme proposal and budget and programme quality is improved.

                 

Profile Specific to This Post:

  • Masters in Social Science, Development Studies, Public Health, or similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years experience in managing and implementing HIV&AIDS work on prevention and behaviour change communication.
  • Experience in mainstreaming gender, HIV&AIDS and equality
  • Experienced in project/programme monitoring, , evaluation and report writing
  • Experience in capacity building, mentoring and working with partners.
  • Training background in participatory approaches , sensitive issues and BCC strategies like STAR, stepping stones or life skills education
  • A good understanding of development issues, with an emphasis on participation and sustainability.
