The ideal candidate should possess the following;

- Degree in Environmental health or equivalent
- NSSA's Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management Course (OSHEMAC) or equivalent will be an added advantage
- 2 years' experience in OSH field
- Be computer literate
- A valid Clean Class 4 driver's license

The positions will report to the Principal Factory Inspectors and will be responsible for the following duties;

The positions will report to the Principal Factory Inspectors and will be responsible for the following duties;
- Inspecting factories and works including construction sites to enforce Safety and Health laws to prevent accidents and diseases.
- Enforcing HACCP (hazard analysis critical control point) standards in food premises including kitchens, canteens and breweries.
- Registering and deregistering factories to maintain safety and health standards.
- Reading and approving industrial building plans for hygiene standards.
- Carrying out investigations of accidents and occupational diseases to prevent recurrence.
- Carrying out pneumoconiosis surveillance in dusty occupations.
- Measuring industrial hygiene factors (noise, vibration, ventilation, heat, lighting, gases, and chemical exposures) to enforce hygiene laws and standards.
- Initiating prosecutions for violation of safety and health laws.
- Providing expert advice to various stakeholders and technical committees on OSH.
- Writing technical reports on the OSH work undertaken for clients and NSSA Management.
