The ideal candidate should possess the following;

• Degree in Environmental health or equivalent
• NSSA's Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management Course (OSHEMAC) or equivalent will be an added advantage
• 2 years' experience in OSH field
• Be computer literate
• A valid Clean Class 4 driver's license

The positions will report to the Principal Factory Inspectors and will be responsible for the following duties;

• Inspecting factories and works including construction sites to enforce Safety and Health laws to prevent accidents and diseases.
• Enforcing HACCP (hazard analysis critical control point) standards in food premises including kitchens, canteens and breweries.
• Registering and deregistering factories to maintain safety and health standards.
• Reading and approving industrial building plans for hygiene standards.
• Carrying out investigations of accidents and occupational diseases to prevent recurrence.
• Carrying out pneumoconiosis surveillance in dusty occupations.
• Measuring industrial hygiene factors (noise, vibration, ventilation, heat, lighting, gases, and chemical exposures) to enforce hygiene laws and standards.
• Initiating prosecutions for violation of safety and health laws.
• Providing expert advice to various stakeholders and technical committees on OSH.
• Writing technical reports on the OSH work undertaken for clients and NSSA Management.
