Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates to fill the following position which has become vacant at the University of Zimbabwe:

1 LECTURE/SENIOR LECTURE/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
1.1 FACULTY OF ARTS
1.1.1 DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY (1 POST)

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in History, Masters degree in African History and PhD degree in African History or PhD in African Studies majoring in History. Applicants with relevant teaching experience at University level, a good research and publication record will have an added advantage.
The successful candidate must be able to teach the following courses: (a) Introduction to the study of History (b) Woman in African History (c) History of Central Africa, and (d) History of East Africa.
