Medical Students Initiative

 

The Zimbabwe Human Capital Website in collaboration with Medical & Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe(MDPCZ),Health Services Board (HSB) and the University of Zimbabwe(UZ) has an exciting program for Zimbabwean medical students in the diaspora in their clinical years of study. Students will be attached to the University of Zimbabwe Medical School and will shadow teaching doctors in Parirenyatwa and Harare Central Hospitals.

The program will expose medical students in the diaspora to the Zimbabwean health sector where students are likely to get a ‘hands on’ experience.

The program is designed to accommodate students who are on their summer or winter holidays or during their elective period.

Only students wishing to come for four weeks will be accepted within the UZ Faculty of Medicine Departments, unless if other special arrangements are made.

Students should seek funding support from their respective universities to cover air fare and living costs. Official letters of support can be provided if students are accepted into the program.

The registration fee to enable students to work in the hospitals is US$100.


Mining Students Initiative

 

The Zimbabwe Human Capital Website in collaboration with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development has an exciting program for Zimbabwean students studying various mining disciplines in the diaspora. Through the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, students will be given an opportunity to perform various mining tasks within mining organisations in Zimbabwe.

The program will expose mining students in the diaspora to the local mining sector and this will give students  hands on experience in their various mining disciplines.

The program is designed to accommodate students who are on their summer or winter holidays or who are required to undertake attachments/ internships as partial fulfilment of their programs.

 


Engineering Students Initiative

 

The Zimbabwe Human Capital Website in collaboration with the Ministries of Public Works, Energy and Power Development  has an exciting program for Zimbabwean students studying various Engineering and/ or other related disciplines in the diaspora. Through the two Ministries, students will be given an opportunity to perform various hands on tasks within different organisations in Zimbabwe.

The program will expose students in the diaspora to the local sectors and this will give students  hands on experience in their various disciplines.

The program is designed to accommodate students who are on their summer or winter holidays or who are required to undertake attachments/ internships as partial fulfilment of their programs.
