The Zimbabwe Human Capital Website in collaboration with Medical & Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe(MDPCZ),Health Services Board (HSB) and the University of Zimbabwe(UZ) has an exciting program for Zimbabwean medical students in the diaspora in their clinical years of study. Students will be attached to the University of Zimbabwe Medical School and will shadow teaching doctors in Parirenyatwa and Harare Central Hospitals.
The program will expose medical students in the diaspora to the Zimbabwean health sector where students are likely to get a ‘hands on’ experience.
The program is designed to accommodate students who are on their summer or winter holidays or during their elective period.
Only students wishing to come for four weeks will be accepted within the UZ Faculty of Medicine Departments, unless if other special arrangements are made.
Students should seek funding support from their respective universities to cover air fare and living costs. Official letters of support can be provided if students are accepted into the program.
The registration fee to enable students to work in the hospitals is US$100.
