1.1 Research Fellow
Applicants should hold a Master's Degree in English with a Merit pass. Candidates should also have a good research background in quantitative research methodologies and a Diploma in Primary Education. Successful candidate will be expected to administer the research programme for assessing English literacy competencies in the CELTUZ primary grades 3 and 6, and supervise the development and implementation of individualized remedial and enrichment programmes for CELTUZ- primary pupils, support the Literacy Center linkages with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture, Better Schools Programme- Zimbabwe (BSPZ) provincial and district centres and parents. The Candidate also needs to undertake PhD studies on English Literacy competencies for primary school children from the literacy research.
The candidate should have a at least five years' teaching experience at primary school level or at least 3 years at a teacher education institution, training teachers to teach English at primary school level and knowledge of CElTUZ-Primary, and the Norms Competency approach to English Literacy in general.
